Considered one of the first exhibitions on pre-Columbian science and techniques ever conceived in the world, it does so innovatively by comparing new technologies with pre-Columbian technology in several areas of humano knowledge: Metals, Space Explorations, Economy, Agriculture, Medicine, Memory and Beauty.  This exhibition opened on Thursday 17th of October 2007 at Museo de la Ciencia - CosmoCaixa Madrid (Pintor Velazquez s/n, Alcobendas, Madrid) and will be running until October 2008 in CosmoCaixa Madrid for then to open in CosmoCaixa Barcelona.

Rescate_Audiovisual_1 presents a selection of productions mainly from the ‘60s and ‘70s, a time marked both by important social changes and hope for the most oppressed sectors of the population. This is the first in a series of public screenings programmed by the Acervo Leistenschneider, Alta Tecnología Andina (ATA) and Centro Cultural de España (Spanish Cultural Centre) in Lima, as a way of recovering the audiovisual history of contemporary Peru.

The collection donated pieces to the Sociedad Nacional de Industrias (National Industries Society, SNI) for its Museo de Arte y Técnicas Precolombinas (Pre-Columbian Arts and Techniques Museum). This museum included metallurgy, pottery and woodwork pieces, as well as communications instruments, textiles, fishing apparel, clothing and jewellery.
